Description
With the easyRESCUE A040 AIS marine rescue beacon from Weatherdock, you can use AIS technology to display the exact GPS position of a person who has fallen overboard on your PC or chart plotter. The device features three automatic activation functions: activation via rip cord, full water contact, or a magnetic switch.
Marine distress beacons for safety on the water
The emergency beacon has an operating temperature range of -20°C to +65°C and is waterproof to a depth of 10 meters. Its transmission power is 2 W. Equipped with an AIS SAR transmitter, the beacon has a transmission time of 96 hours after activation, during which a signal is transmitted 8 times per minute and a new GPS position is transmitted every minute. This allows all AIS-equipped vessels to initiate a rescue at sea. The transmission range is up to 10 km, depending on the wave and the receiving antenna height. The battery life is 5 years without use. Maintenance should be performed after emergency activation or at least every 5 years.
