    The 420 is a 4.20-meter-long two-man dinghy that has been in production since 1960. Originally sailed without a spinnaker or trapeze, it is now used almost exclusively as a sporty two-handed boat. It is ideal for young sailors and is used in many sailing clubs around the world as the next step up from the Optimist.

    The dinghy features a sporty round-bilged design with integrated side tanks that serve as buoyancy aids and make the boat unsinkable. With its robust construction and versatile trim options, the 420 provides an excellent platform for learning tactical and technical sailing as a team.

    As an international class recognized by World Sailing, the 420 is represented in regattas worldwide. Although it is increasingly being replaced by the 29er, it remains an important youth class with significant training efforts in clubs and sailing associations.
