Solid life jackets are the ideal safety solution for anyone who values ease of use and maximum reliability. Whether sailing, paddling, or motorboating – thanks to their rigid foam filling, these life jackets provide reliable buoyancy without the need for a deployment device. They are a proven choice, especially for regular water contact and for children or guests on board.

  • Which life jacket do I need?

Choosing the right life jacket is crucial for safety on board, but due to various factors, it's often more challenging than expected. Water conditions, body weight, and watersports clothing all need to be considered. The awn range includes automatic life jackets, life jackets for children and pets, and buoyancy aids.

  • What is a solid life jacket made of?

The solid life jacket consists of a robust outer shell filled with closed-cell soft foam to provide the necessary buoyancy. They are designed in eye-catching colors and equipped with reflectors and a whistle to attract attention in an emergency. Some models also feature a sea anchor to increase stability in the water. Solid life jackets can be stored and transported in practical bags to save space.

  • Buy solid life jackets

The correct buoyancy of a rigid lifejacket depends on body weight and the watersports clothing worn. Our awn regatta vest combines high comfort with reliable buoyancy and is suitable for people weighing between 30 and 120 kg. A rigid lifejacket is an excellent choice for watersports enthusiasts seeking a low-maintenance, durable safety solution.

  • 10-year lifespan of a solid life jacket

Compared to automatic life jackets, solid life jackets are virtually maintenance-free. However, the life jacket should be visually inspected annually before the start of the season to rule out tears, wear, or cuts. Factors such as improper storage, excessive sunlight, or other environmental influences can impair functionality. With careful care and proper storage, solid life jackets can last up to 10 years.
