Rudder fittings

(16 products)

Rudder fittings are essential for a secure and functional connection between the rudder and the boat. In this category, you'll find high-quality fittings for dinghies and dinghies, suitable for various rudder blade thicknesses and tiller diameters – ideal for repairing, replacing, or rebuilding your steering system.

  • Rudder fittings – for precise control and secure hold

Rudder fittings connect the rudder blade or rudder head to the boat's transom. The transom fitting is mounted at the stern and accommodates the matching rudder fitting, which is attached to the rudder blade. For reliable steering, both components must be precisely aligned and installed flush.

  • Technical features

Rudder fittings are available with 6 mm, 8 mm, or 10 mm pins or bushings. The material choice is typically seawater-resistant cast aluminum or stainless steel. The selection depends on the thickness of the rudder blade, the stresses caused by frequency of use, and the size of the boat.

  • Tip for regatta sailors

Anyone who regularly participates in regattas should check their rudder fittings for looseness at frequent intervals and replace them as needed. Even slight wear can noticeably impair steering and maneuverability.

Whether for a training dinghy, leisure dinghy or regatta boat – at awn you will find the right rudder fittings for your requirements.
