Optimal damping of vibrations

The Bullflex coupling is VETUS's response to the growing demand for even greater cruising comfort. The Bullflex was specifically developed for optimal vibration damping. Torsional vibrations – which occur when the load changes and/or are the result of an unevenly running engine (especially at low rpm) – are dampened particularly effectively thanks to the super-elastic rubber element. This pre-tensioned rubber element ensures a backlash-free (= silent) and vibration-damping connection between the engine and propeller shaft. Thanks to the puncture protection (axial and radial), this connection remains optimally secured.

Specifications

• Models 1, 2 and 4 have a 4 "connection
• Models 8, 12 and 16 have a 4 and 5 “connection
• The model 32 has 6 threaded M16 holes on a pitch diameter of Ø 120.65 mm / 4.7" for mounting the clutches on most gearboxes (Hurth, Velvet, TD, ZF and PRM)
• VETUS also supplies the necessary mounting hardware for attaching the Bullflex to the gearbox. This coupling is not suitable for V-drives.
