Type exhaust gas temperature alarm - EXHAUST GAS TEMPERATURE ALARM

Safety first! Why you should always have an exhaust temperature alarm. If the cooling water system is clogged or the cooling water pump impeller is damaged, very little or no water will reach the exhaust system. In this case, the exhaust system temperature will rise much faster than the engine temperature. Therefore, VETUS recommends installing an exhaust temperature alarm, which provides audible and visual warning when the temperature in the exhaust hose or muffler reaches a critical level.

A notice:

The temperature sensors and alarm indicators must be ordered separately. In a dual-engine system, both sensors can be connected to one alarm indicator. Designed for exhaust systems with cooling water injection, it provides a visual and audible warning if the temperature in the exhaust hose or muffler rises too high. The temperature sensors, for installation in the hose or in the waterlock/silencer, as well as the alarm indicator, must be ordered separately. In the case of two engines, two sensors can be connected to one alarm indicator. Alternatively, two alarm indicators can be connected to one sensor, e.g., for a second helm station.
