VETUS batteries are designed with varying seasonal requirements in mind. During the winter months, the battery is mostly unused, so self-discharge is minimal, allowing you to rely on the battery to start the engine again next season. We recommend using a charger with a maintenance charge during winter storage.

During a boating season, the battery must also meet various requirements. It must be able to withstand both small but constant loads as well as short and heavy loads, such as when using a bow thruster.
