Pair your SOLAS wristband with either your tablet or smartphone and download the free app. Whether you attach the wristband to your wrist, a lifebelt, your clothing, or a life jacket is up to you. As soon as the distress wristband submerges too far into the water, Bluetooth is interrupted, and your selected device will sound an alarm. You'll immediately see the alert location, including the time, your course, your coordinates, and your distance.

The app lets you name each transmitter and view the transmitter's battery status. It also helps in an emergency by displaying the text for an emergency call on channel 16, including the GPS location, showing saved emergency numbers, and providing instructions for emergency maneuvers.
