The Minn Kota Riptide SC RT55 electric outboard is specifically designed for saltwater skippers. All locking and clamping screws are made of stainless steel, and a zinc anode on the propeller protects against electrolysis, which is especially common in saltwater.

The Riptide SC (switch control) models are all equipped with 5 forward and 3 reverse gears. They include a battery indicator, a telescopic tiller, and a robust, tiltable motor mount.

To protect against corrosion caused by salty sea air, the electronic circuitry is encased in a special insulating compound. The perfect saltwater motor for fishing, for a dinghy, or as a calm water pusher for a sailboat!
