HEMPEL DURA SATIN VARNISH 02040 is a fast-drying, one-component, urethane-alkyd-based clearcoat with a satin finish. DURA SATIN VARNISH is resistant to UV exposure, seawater, and weathering. Its quality is equivalent to the high-gloss DURA GLOSS VARNISH clearcoat and is ideal as a final coat over DURA GLOSS VARNISH when a satin finish is desired.

As a clear varnish on new or previously varnished wood, indoors and outdoors, above the waterline. DURA SATIN VARNISH can be thinned with Thinner 811. Stir in the thinner carefully to avoid introducing air bubbles.

The best results are achieved when applied with a flat brush. Spray application is possible with most spray guns when thinning. However, due to the many unknown factors during application, no general guidelines can be given.
