Unique, stainless steel housing
The Sea Hawk-XLR's housing is injection-molded from a non-metallic, thermally conductive polymer that dissipates heat generated during operation from the electronics—without the typically required external aluminum heat sink—to ensure reliable, long-term performance. This prevents potential surface deterioration and corrosion risks commonly found with coated metal in the harsh marine environment.
