Gori folding propeller, 2-blade, 13x9x2R, 25mm ISO shaft, synchronized blade movement for low vibration, optimal forward and reverse thrust

The first propellers were produced over 25 years ago. Since then, they have been continuously developed to take advantage of modern manufacturing technology and testing capabilities.

The 2-bladed Gori folding propeller can be used for sailing yachts with engines up to approximately 44 kW/60 hp. It is available in seven sizes from 11.5" to 18" diameter for shafts and saildrives and can be supplied in right- or left-handed versions.

The toothed wing design ensures synchronized wing movement at all times, minimizing vibrations when moving forward and backward. This results in correct pitch adjustment and optimal performance under power. When sailing, the wings fold automatically to minimize drag.

Under sail, a fixed-pitch propeller slows down more than most sailors realize. Independent tests have shown that the two-bladed Gori folding propeller reduces the yacht's drag by up to 35% in certain cases. This resulted in a speed increase of 1 knot under sail. This speed increase varies depending on the boat's length and displacement.

The shape of the folding propeller prevents seaweed, plastic bags and other debris from sticking to it while sailing.

Independent tests have shown that the efficiency of the 2-bladed Gori folding propeller is equal to or even higher than that of most 2- and 3-bladed rotary or folding propellers.

The 2-bladed Gori folding propeller provides optimal reverse thrust through a combination of the shape and profile design of the propeller blades combined with centrifugal force. This means that, unlike most other folding propeller types, the Gori folding propeller does not rely exclusively on centrifugal force to open the blades.

Independent tests have also shown that the efficiency of the 2-bladed Gori folding propeller when driving forward exceeds that of most 2- and 3-bladed rotary wing and folding propellers.
