Application
Sikaflex®-291 is a versatile product in shipbuilding, used for the creation of elastic and vibration-resistant sealing joints, but is also suitable for bonding bridge battens and sealing interior and exterior elements, etc. Sikaflex®-291 exhibits excellent adhesion to the main materials used in shipbuilding. Suitable substrates include wood, metals, metal primers and paints (2-component systems), ceramic materials, and plastics (UP-GRP, etc.). Sikaflex®-291 must not be used for sealing plastics susceptible to stress cracking (such as PMMA, PC, etc.).

All sealing applications, such as penetrations, cable penetrations, coaming seals (wet rooms), window boxes, hatches, segments, fittings, and ventilation, as well as the waterproof embedding and bonding of wooden decks to metal, GRP, and wood. Bonding of non-slip plastic deck coverings.

Consumption approx: 300 ml for 10 m joint 5 x 5 mm or when embedding approx. 600 - 1000 ml/m²
