For boat owners looking for ultra-fast internet on board, Digital Yacht's new 5G Xtream offers 4G and 5G connectivity as well as integration with Starlink satellite systems for the best and most affordable blended internet on board.

The 5G Xtream system uses three external antennas, including two high-gain vertical antennas and a separate compact dome for the higher 5G frequencies. This MIMO technology, and especially the separate antennas, ensure optimal performance. Dual SIM support is available, with automatic (failover) or manual switching between operators.

The 5G Xtream features dual-band wireless connections (2.4 and 5 GHz), allowing users to easily search for and connect to a secure Wi-Fi point on board. It also features four LAN ports (10/100/1000 Mbps) for wired devices like smart TVs and a WAN port optimized for Starlink satellite connectivity, allowing the 5GX to function as a sophisticated and fast router for all onboard internet communications.

The Wi-Fi router can also be configured to access Wi-Fi hotspots in the marina as an additional method of internet access. This also supports the latest 5 GHz Wi-Fi services for marinas, and an external high-gain Wi-Fi antenna is also available as an accessory.

For advanced users, 5G Xtream enables user management, VPNs, blacklists, and IoT applications. NMEA 0183/2000 data can also be connected via Digital Yacht's LANLink devices. The integrated GPS enables SMS reporting of the boat's position or even geofence/drift setting when the boat is moored in the harbor.
