Retrofitting your boat with an Efoy fuel cell can be done by any boating company with minimal effort. The Efoy is simply connected to your 12V battery, which powers your onboard devices. The Efoy's integrated charge controller continuously monitors the battery's charge level. If the charge level drops below 12.3V, the fuel cell automatically switches on, charges the battery, and then shuts off again. You don't have to worry about anything and can rest assured that your batteries are always charged. The Efoy is completely maintenance-free.

The Efoy fuel cell converts chemical energy into electrical energy without any intermediate steps and without significant efficiency losses. All Efoy fuel cells are based on DMFC (direct methanol fuel cell) technology. This technology converts methanol directly into electricity. With a production of up to 7.5 A (Efoy 2200), the Efoy fuel cell can power multiple devices continuously, 24/7: navigation electronics, refrigerators, microwaves, low-pressure desalinators, etc. Its low methanol consumption of just 0.96 liters per day and extremely quiet operation make this fuel cell an indispensable component of your battery bank. It also allows you to downsize your battery bank and reduce onboard weight.
