Vetus batteries are specially manufactured for use on board recreational boats—a successful combination of starter and service battery! Compared to conventional batteries of the same capacity, the Vetus battery is approximately 25% lighter and approximately 40% smaller. Self-discharge is only approximately 4% compared to approximately 13%. Thanks to the special design of the maintenance-free Vetus battery, refilling the electrolyte is no longer necessary. The battery housing is closed, and a sight glass provides information about the charge level. Vetus batteries are delivered filled and charged.
