CHARACTERISTICS
YC ANTIFOULING ECO is a self-polishing antifouling containing copper compounds and bioactive organic ingredients. Thanks to its self-renewing effect, the coating retains a bioactive surface throughout its lifetime. YC ANTIFOULING ECO is compatible with most antifouling systems.
AREA OF OPERATION
As an antifouling for boats made of GRP, wood, and steel. Not suitable for use on aluminum substrates. Suitable for use in fresh, salt, and brackish waters.

Coverage: 12.5 m²/L
Specific gravity: 1.4 g/ml
Volume solids: 57% (depending on color)
Flash point: 30 °C
Theoretical coverage: approx. 12.7 m²/L – 45 μm DFT
PROCESSING
The surface must be clean, dry, and free of grease. Apply only in dry weather. The surface temperature must be above the dew point to avoid condensation. The paint temperature should be above 15°C. Avoid direct sunlight during application. Ensure good ventilation during application and drying.
PREVIOUS COAT:
Depending on the substrate, you can apply a single-component chlorinated rubber paint or a two-component epoxy primer.
NOTE:
Before painting over existing hard antifouling substrates, they should be cleaned and lightly sanded to remove the leached, porous surface. Other self-eroding antifouling substrates can be recoated directly, provided they are clean, grease-free, and dry. Teflon-based antifoulings cannot be painted over and must be sanded first. Do not over-thin to ensure a sufficient dry film thickness.
