Description

HEMPEL UNIVERSAL EPOXY FILLER is a two-component epoxy filler that contains neither solvents nor phenol. This filler is resistant to water and oils and can be applied in layers up to 2 cm thick without shrinkage.

Area of ​​application

Suitable as a filler for both above and below water. For boats made of GRP, steel, aluminum, and hardwood. GRP, steel, and aluminum substrates must be primed with Light Primer. Suitable for osmosis remediation. (Gelcoat replacement).

The substrate must be thoroughly clean, dry, and free of grease. The application temperature should be above 5°C. Best results are achieved at temperatures between 10 and 15°C. Humidity should not exceed 65%. Do not apply in direct sunlight or on very warm substrates. The substrate temperature must be above the dew point to avoid condensation. Ensure good ventilation during application and curing. The substrate must be clean, free of grease, and dry. Sandblasted steel substrates and abraded GRP, wood, aluminum, epoxy, and polyurethane substrates offer an optimally prepared substrate. For improved adhesion, a diluted coat of LIGHT PRIMER should be applied first. Application below 15°C is not recommended due to the formation of amine blush. The resulting insufficient curing process can lead to insufficient cross-linking, thus preventing the formation of a stable substrate for subsequent coats. Application should not take place at temperatures above 25°C.
