The VETUS ILT is an innovative inspection cover with a flange-in-ring design, allowing easy opening even after the cover has been closed for extended periods. The inspection cover has a counterflange with a rubber seal that fits into a 159 mm opening in the tank. All you have to do now is tighten the four supplied mounting screws. The "clamp and seal" principle simplifies installation enormously; the main task is simply drilling a 159 mm hole in the tank. Since the pressure required for sealing is only applied to the outer ring, there is no need to work against friction when opening.

The ILT not only meets the minimum requirements of ISO/FDIS 21487: "Diesel tanks must have an inspection hatch with a diameter of at least 120 mm. These must be installed at suitable locations to allow cleaning and maintenance to the lowest point of the tank," but all other connections can remain as they are.
