How do the release tablets work? In these life jackets, the spring of the automatic inflation system is pre-tensioned, and the release tablets maintain this tension. When the release tablets come into contact with water and dissolve, the spring relaxes, and the life jacket inflates within 2 to 5 seconds.

The SECUMAR trigger tablets are made of cellulose. According to the manufacturer, each pill is individually measured and its tolerances checked. To prevent delayed or non-existent activation, the weight tolerance for each individual pill is only 0.03 grams.
