4G Connect is a new 4G (LTE) solution for onboard internet access. The 4G Connect is equipped with the latest MIMO technology and two internal antennas for fast connections and optimal reception range. A fully featured Wi-Fi router is built in, allowing multiple users to share the internet connection simultaneously. Wired Wi-Fi devices or satellite modems can also be networked via LAN and WAN.

The antennas built into the standard model are almost always sufficient for fiberglass boats and achieve good reception in harbor areas. For boats with carbon, wooden, or metal hulls, and for boat owners who want maximum reception, we recommend the 4G Connect Pro model with a separate antenna.

4G Connect is unlocked, giving users free choice of provider. However, for users in Europe, we recommend a Vodafone SIM, as these offer excellent reception in marine environments. It's incredibly easy to use—simply turn it on and use your device to search for the password-protected Wi-Fi hotspot created by 4G Connect, and you're online right away.

The 4G can be connected to Digital Yacht's high-performance Wi-Fi antenna via the WAN interface. You then have the choice between Wi-Fi hotspot and 4G. iKommunicate can be connected to the device via LAN, allowing NMEA boat data to be delivered over the wireless network and used with navigation programs and apps.
