Description
The NASA Mairne Cruiser wind meter is a 360° wind direction indicator. The newly designed wind sensor with NMEA 0183 output offers a particularly direct response to changes in wind incidence thanks to its 10 Hz update rate. With ten updates per second, it shows any change in wind speed and direction almost instantly, even during fast maneuvers. The included CRUISER WIND display shows the apparent wind direction and speed. The mast unit is supplied complete with a mounting kit and a 20 m connection cable. The data output in NMEA 0183 format can be connected to any compatible display device that can display the output "MWV" data set. The complete system consists of a display, NMEA 0183 sensor, and connection cable.
