Impellers are an important safety item. They are the most important component of the cooling water pump. Neoprene impellers are used for cooling water pumps because the material has high mechanical strength and can therefore withstand higher backpressures.

Our safety recommendation: Check your pumps once a year and replace your impeller at that time. We also recommend always carrying a spare impeller on board!
