Description
Battery, tank, and charging monitor BTM 2. Intuitive, 3.5" color TFT touchscreen graphic display with brightness sensor for automatic brightness adjustment. Includes NMEA 2000 interface.
The BTM 2 is the further development of the proven BTM battery tank monitor. It includes an integrated NMEA2000 interface that makes the battery and tank data available to the NMEA2000 network.
This allows the battery and tank data to be additionally displayed on compatible plotters.
Also new is the ability to operate on a 12–48 V DC operating voltage, allowing monitoring of 48 V battery systems in conjunction with the SHE 348 shunt. All components have been further improved in terms of standby power consumption, allowing the BTM2 to remain permanently connected to the battery without any problems.
NMEA 2000: The N2K cable is also required for connection to the NMEA 2000 network. This pluggable cable connects via a T-connector (5 0411 1149) to an NMEA 2000 on-board network or a Raymarine network (Seatalk/NMEA 2000 adapter cable A06045).
Battery Monitoring: Precise battery information on the current voltage, charge or discharge current, remaining time, temperature, and charge level of the consumer battery. Historical values for the number of charge cycles, deep discharges, and average depth of discharge provide an overview of battery usage. The voltages of up to two starter or front batteries can be monitored.
Solar yield measurement If you also have a solar panel on board, you can use an additional power measurement hunt to display the power yield from your solar panel.
Tank measurement: All known philippi tank sensors such as TGT/TGW, UTV, TDS/TDN, and DFS can be connected. Existing third-party tank sensors with 10-180°C / 240-33°C / 0-5 V / 0-10 V / 4-20 mA signals are also possible. Each tank can be individually configured for unique assignment, and adaptation to non-linear tank geometries is also possible. Individual tank alarms can be defined for monitoring.
Monitoring for ACE chargers: An ACE-LIN interface integrated into the ACE automatic charger allows monitoring of the charging process, displaying the mains voltage, charging phase, battery temperature, and charging current. Adjustment of the charging power for weak shore connection and silent mode (fan off) for models with high charging power > 60A.
Alarm/relay contact: Also new is the potential-free changeover contact, which, in conjunction with a remote-controlled FBR 265 battery main switch, enables voltage- and, importantly, capacity-dependent energy management and deep discharge protection. This allows consumers to be shut down well in advance of impending deep discharge, rather than waiting until the battery is completely discharged. This is especially important for lithium battery systems, whose flat discharge characteristics make timely voltage shutdown impossible. The tank sensors, the "SHE300" shunt, the "ACE-LIN" charger interface, and the NMEA 2000 connection cable "N2K cable" or the FBR265 relay must be ordered separately.
