CHARACTERISTICS
TEAK CLEANER is both a cleaner and brightener for grayed wood and plastics. Thanks to its high penetrating power, TEAK CLEANER penetrates deeply into the pores of the surface, removing even deeply embedded dirt. It does not bleach or damage the wood. It cleans and brightens it, restoring its original color. TEAK CLEANER contains oxalic acid.

SPECIAL AREAS OF APPLICATION:
TEAK CLEANER is a cleaner and brightener. It cleans wood (even pressure-treated wood and hardwoods), plastics, and yellowed gelcoat. TEAK CLEANER is particularly suitable for the upper deck, cockpit, and handrails. It is even used to clean TREAD-MASTER and TBS deck coverings. It is also suitable for cleaning and brightening boat decks—even unoiled teak decks. Neither the surfaces, joint sealants, nor glued joints are damaged. Due to the mild substances, there are no aggressive reactions with other boatbuilding materials. TEAK CLEANER does not affect painted surfaces and paintwork. The cleaner cleans the wood after stripping, neutralizes the alkalinity, and restores its natural color.

PROCESSING
If TEAK CLEANER is used for brightening, it must be used in concentrated form. For refreshing and cleaning, dilute TEAK CLEANER with water at a maximum ratio of 1:5. Apply the cleaner liberally with a sponge or synthetic hair brush and rub in with a scouring sponge or stiff synthetic hair brush (do not use a metal brush). Leave for approximately 10-20 minutes. During this time, the surface must be kept moist. Do not allow the TEAK CLEANER to dry on the surface. Rinse with plenty of water, scrubbing with a scouring sponge or synthetic hair brush (or pressure wash) to remove the discoloration from the pores and recesses. For particularly discolored surfaces, cleaning with TEAK CLEANER can be repeated. The wood must be allowed to dry completely (at least 2-3 days). If necessary, it can be smoothed with sandpaper (100 grit or finer) along the grain. The wood can be preserved with wood oils (e.g., TEAK-OIL), glaze, paint, or varnish. Metal parts and glossy varnishes can be dulled—so rinse thoroughly. Tools used with TEAK CLEANER can be cleaned with soap and water.
