Galvanic isolator

To prevent galvanic currents between the hull and the shore power supply, a galvanic isolator can be installed. Two diodes, each connected in series and antiparallel, generate such a high blocking potential that galvanic currents can no longer flow. The galvanic isolator is also suitable for yachts with plastic hulls, protecting the drive unit from galvanic corrosion caused by the shore power supply. The electronics are encapsulated in a waterproof anodized aluminum housing.
