Digital Yacht Converter NMEA2000 to NMEA0183, bidirectional NMEA adapter, easy mode selection

The iKonvert NMEA2000-0183 converter is a smart and flexible gateway that allows new NMEA2000 devices to communicate with legacy NMEA0183 devices. The converters are bidirectional, allowing you to integrate data from legacy NMEA0183 sensors into your NMEA2000 network and add a new, single NMEA2000 MFD. This allows GPS and navigation data to be sent and converted to your legacy NMEA0183 VHF and autopilot. The required data conversions are performed precisely and intelligently.

There are many applications for NMEA 2000 to NMEA 0183, with a plethora of devices of different makes and models that may need to be connected. We designed iKonvert to solve as many unresolved situations of this type as possible. To achieve this, we built a simple yet effective mode selection method into iKonvert via a series of DIP switches. Simply remove two screws, open the iKonvert box, and use a small screwdriver. Then select the mode you require. The next time iKonvert is used, it will automatically perform the conversions you selected.

Several modes have already been defined, including: Heading, Sounder, AIS, GPS, Wind, Instruments, and a Data Gateway mode that automatically sets the necessary conversions and the baud rate used by iKonvert. If you need a mode that we haven't yet defined, please let us know. We might consider including it.

The iKonvert Gateway from Digital Yacht is housed in a compact and easy-to-install enclosure. It comes with an integrated NMEA 0183 cable and a standard NMEA 2000 micro-drop cable (masc.). With its power from the NMEA 2000 network and complete galvanic isolation between the NMEA 0183 and NMEA 2000 networks, iKonvert is the perfect solution for all NMEA conversions.

For customers who want to transfer this converted data to a computer, the iKonvert USB converter is available, which has a built-in USB cable that works with all major operating systems.
