Description
Description
These voltage-sensitive switches (VSS) automatically detect connected battery bank voltages and provide optimal and efficient charging of the second bank. With the VSS, independent battery banks can be combined or isolated based on the presence of a charging source (e.g., an engine alternator or battery charger), while providing a remotely activated, high-current connection. Designed and built for durability in the marine environment, they feature tinned copper conductors, stainless steel nuts, and high-temperature, fiber-reinforced plastics. The units are ignition-protected, provide on/off switching, and can be flush-mounted or surface-mounted. The remote emergency parallel function can be operated via a momentary button on the dashboard that momentarily charges the batteries for 10 minutes. Once those 10 minutes have passed and the voltage is high enough, the voltage-sensitive switch remains engaged. If not, it will disengage.
Safety instructions:- Double battery invention
- Operation Override Option
- Dual 12/24 volt operation (both banks must be the same voltage)
- Low current consumption (< 6 mA) lowered in voltage (13.3/26.6 V) is associated with low output alternators and high temperature environments.
