The BC12051 controls battery charging in 5 stages to ensure optimal battery performance. It has an IP65 protection rating, making it dust, splash, and rainproof.

• Stage 1 (Detoxification): Recovers a deeply discharged or slightly sulfated battery
• Stage 2: Charges the battery to 75% as quickly as possible
• Stage 3 (equalization and analysis): Pulse charge at lower current until almost full charge
• Stage 4 (Top-off): The battery is fully charged without overcharging
• Stage 5 (Float): Keeps the battery fully charged
