Description
HEMPEL MILLE PLUS
Approval No. 12547N
A self-eroding antifouling paint with a high content of copper compounds and organic bioactive ingredients. Thanks to its self-renewing effect, the paint retains a bioactive surface throughout its lifetime. The antifouling will take on its final color approximately one week after exposure to water.
Area of application
As an antifouling for boats made of GRP, wood, and steel. Not recommended for use on aluminum or other light metals. MILLE PLUS is suitable for use in all waters and is registered for use in the Netherlands.
Pretreatment
The substrate must be clean, dry, and free of grease. Only apply in dry weather; the substrate temperature must be above the dew point to avoid condensation. The paint temperature should be above 15°C. Avoid direct sunlight during application. Ensure good ventilation during application and drying. Depending on the substrate. Previous coat: Observe the technical data for LIGHT PRIMER, HIGH PROTECT, and UNDERWATER PRIMER. Recommended coats: Airless application: 2 coats, 100 μm total dry film thickness. Roller/brush, compressed air spray: 3-5 coats. Exposure to water should not occur until at least 24 hours after the application of the last coat (20°C). The boat can be left standing for up to 3 months after the antifouling coat has been applied before being launched. If this period is exceeded, the surface must be activated with fresh water and brushing. If the boat is to be recoated with antifouling after a long period of downtime, it should be rinsed with fresh water. Allow to dry before painting.
