Type gas springs

VETUS gas spring systems were specifically designed for marine use. All essential components are made of stainless steel or plastic. A special seal ensures that no gas can escape, guaranteeing a long service life. During installation, the piston rod must always point downwards. Gas cylinders allow for easy lifting and locking of heavy engine compartment hatches, locker lids, etc. in the open position. The gas spring systems are supplied complete with mounting materials. To calculate the maximum permissible weight of a hatch, for example, please note the following data:

• F = force of the gas pressure damper N/m (see table)
• G = weight of the object to be lifted in N
• W = width of the lifting object in mm
